Thanks Skeffto, I really like how your Artichoke turned out.
It blends well, and it's so alive!
and Cherry Blossom Girl would look gorgeous knitted up.

cherry1123, that's your first plied yarn? Wow, it's so even!
I never would have guessed.
Oh, and I never quite know when to post.
My times are different here in Au. Today I waited until after dinner to post.

Oh, my gosh, I LOVE those glowy yarns, Jane Doe!!  And Cherry1123, you are a natural...what absolutely lovely first-plied yarn!

So I haven't been around in a while... Roll Eyes...too much time on Ravelry, I guess.  Here are a few of my recent yarns:

Desert Island Singles yarn from handpainted-by-me Merino/Tussah silk roving, 155 yards, thick/thin bulky.

Urania Last in my scrappy Muses series.  Hodgepodge yarn from handdyed merino, 182 yds.

May Flowers Super soft 80s merino yarn, 130 yards, thick/thin bulky.

And my favorite:

Zinger Two plies of Bluefaced Leicester, with sproings of BFL/Border Leicester cross locks in between the plies.   Cheesy

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's me with some yarn on my head.

Thanks Skeffto! This was my first time trying so many coils. I want to do way more on my next yarn. They were really fun. Smiley It was also my first time plying in anything else. I liked that too. Smiley

I love everyone's yarns so far. I love Fish Tank, nice & sparkly.

Nicolassa! those are gorgeous!
Cherry, that blue is delish!
Inez, that black is gorgeous, I love the hints of blue and white throughout!

Here are my delish yarns for the week.
Hippie, all spun up from 2 weeks ago.  Merino.

This is just a simple BFL single, plied with an alpaca single.  only 30 yards...

So many pretty yarns. It seems to be singles/corespun week!

Lots and lots from me because it's been AGES!

This is Jeepster - named after my mum's favourite T-Rex song. She chose the name and the colours. It's BFL.

This is Ride a White Swan - a wool/alpaca blend and one of my favourite things ever to spin.

This...

Became this. Life's A Gas. It's Falkland, which was a real pleasure to spin, and I love the texture of the final yarn.

And finally this...

is Metal Guru. BFL again.

And that was it for Marc Bolan March Smiley

This month is Enid Blyton April, but I've been dyeing rather than spinning so there's no handspun to show for it just yet.

Lots of pretty yarn so far this week.
I just have this 250yd skein of wool/llama/mohair.  It's a light fingering weight single that's a little kinky but the skein is balanced.  I wish I had some more of this, I love how the color came out and I forgot to write down how I dyed it!

Hey Everyone! Happy Friday!!  I'm so enjoying this beautiful Spring weather!

I have a few to share this week!

I spun up 7 oz of YUMMY cotswold locks dyed by hollyeqq in brilliant shades of greens, purples and blues.  I added 6 colors angelina and some novelty yarn snippets.. and spun the yarn as whole locks- very little flicking.. so there's lots of curls
Comfortably Numb, 70 yards

Marshy, 66 yards
merino x locks and merino top corespun with 3 colors of angelina, and 2 colors of lurex bling
LOTS of texture and curls!! this one is super soft!

Happy Thoughts, 150 yards 100% silk

Visions of Monet, 102 yards
SUPER soft and fluffy merino x lamb locks, carded with angelina

Spring Rainbows, 102 yards
SAF, spun thick and thin and plied with novelty yarn

Stripes Galore
240 yards, merino spun thick and thin with a low twist
9 OZ!!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm going to spin outside for a bit before the sun goes down!

I barely made it in on time this week, as usual. Here's a couple new-ish ones:
