Hello Everyone. It's been awhile since I got back to my needle work but for the most recent tree swap I had a chance to do just that. I was inspired by the massive amount of chain stitch contrariwise used on her pillow). but I can't find any of that info at the moment! Argh. If any one has any idea what I'm talking about please let me know! Anyways! (Thanks RedMenace for finding me that info!)I thought the texture would be perfect for a tree and off I went! I also threw some french knots in here because what better to simulate knots and burls in trees than knots? (I know! Bad embroidery pun. Please forgive me.) Anyway, here's my creation!

Thank you for looking! Comments, criticism, and "this rocks" votes appreciated Cheesy

I love it, and I love the colors! This is very inspiring to a beginning embroiderer and very daunting I might add!

Thank you zanna2332. Don't be to daunted. This was not an incredibly difficult project. I purposely made my stitches uneven for a more natural feel. It just took a lot of time. That's the only thing that was really daunting about it.

Wow, that's really pretty! You were right about the texture looking tree-like, it's perfect! Looks like a very time-intensive project though.

Thank you, blue_lalita. It was very time intensive but I think it was worth it. I worked on it for about 2 or 3 hours everyday for a little over a week. My fingers were very much done glad when they were done. If I do this again I'm going to have to find a softer fabric! This stuff was almost like stitching through leather. Blah!
