I made the whole alphabet! My foam wasn't as thick as I thought it was, but it works. I could barely wait for the glue to dry to try them out. The Xacto knife was definitely the way to go. I used Aleene's glue...I wasn't sure how well it works on glass but I guess I'll find out. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is a great way to get an alphabet...especially if you want to experiment with different fonts while you're at it.

What a great idea! I have loads leftover from jewelry projects and loads of craft foam leftover from a costume... and it's easy? Awesome!

I use cheap stamp pads and super-cheap ink refill bottles, the Office Max or Office Depot ones for self-inking stamps... works just as well for me as the expensive pad I bought did.

I bought 6 different colors of 1 inch pads at Michael's in their dollar deal section. Each was a dollar, clearly.
