This is a project I completed last spring. I decided it was the last semester of my senior year in college and I was going to take a fun class! Pictures of my progression...

Final sketch, ready to cut the pattern out:

Cut and foiled, ready to solder:

Finished soldering:

Framed and ready to hang!

I really had a ton of fun in class and wish I had the resources to continue making stained glass art at home!

*ETA* This was my first glass project ever!  Grin

VERY cool! Where do you get the copper foil? I've been looking for it without success.

Very nice!  You did a lovely job, and there's no reason you can't work in stained glass at home -- I know several people who do (including me) - you just need to be extra-diligent around cleanup if you don't have a space dedicated solely to glass.

Thanks everyone!

hgddm, the foil was provided as one of the things that our lab fees went towards. I'm not sure where my instructor found it but I think I remember seeing it at Hobby Lobby maybe?

Thanks Mannon2, I really would like to do some more glass crafts at home. I just don't have the money to put towards it right now. Someday though, I am for sure hanging onto the few supplies that we had to buy for the class. The biggest thing I need is a water grinder ($$$).

A fine piece, and well constructed. I love the layout, myself, and the slight marbling of the glass lends just the right atmosphere.

That's lovely!  I love the simplicity of the lines;  both elegant and simple.  I have a "cowgirl" bff who would love something like that.
