I just love his goofy face!

For some reason, although I have a clean home, I'm having a cockroach problem and I needed to make a door stopper for my bedroom to keep them out. Also works as a draft stopper.
I saw this post (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=274186.0) and decided I'd like to make one for myself. Instead of googly eyes I used faux animal eyes, and I used an old gray knit sock with a neat pattern. He's stuffed with old t-shirts and has a heavy washer hidden in his tail and head to keep him in place. All in all, he costs under $7 to make.

Here's Boris in action:

And a full-body:

So.. is he awesome??  Grin

Great Job!!! He looks like fun.

Have you had any neighbors move recently??  We had a similar problem once, all of the sudden roaches out of nowhere, turned out the people behind us had moved and they pests were migrating.  Eventually they stopped thier migratory pattern lol and disappeared.

I like it!  And what a great idea to use heavy washers to hold him down!

No new neighbors.. But I live in Miami so I think the weather change is making them head for cooler living spaces, such as my cabinets and living quarters. -_-

But I plan to make a few siblings for Boris to keep them out of the bathroom and such.  Wink

I would let loose 100 REAL snakes in my house if it kept out roaches!

That's cute!

And in places like Miami or lowcountry SC, it's just a fact of life I think that no matter how clean you keep house, sometimes you get roaches.

Try http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100530&id=prod3951 and keep going every time the bait disappears!  Cheesy
