Ok, I tried it and it didn't turn out half bad. I used the supplies I had on hand, which wasn't much - rubber cement, watercolors and construction paper. I have never worked the other stuff, surely it is easier to paint with than the rubber cement.  


I am new at craftster and I am trying to post pics, lets see if it works...

Denied...I haven't posted ten times yet to show my pics I am very sad.
I guess I will have to get busy and post more pictureless comments.

It is a little patchy in spots, but I think I like it.

First of all, I think this project is beautiful and amazing and I'm super excited to try it. I already bought some masking fluid. I love seeing how people are using the tutorial!

Weighanchor, thank you! I have a question for you. Have you used the masking fluid over already painted, already dried areas and been able to successfully remove it without damaging the image underneath? I think there are some cool layering possibilities available!

Along with all the others I wish to thank you for this great project tutorial!  It was so compelling that I went right out and got the stuff for it, and did it all in a space of 1 day!

My husband and myself... He in his favorite colors, and me in mine.






I  plan put them in one big picture frame together.

This was my first attempt and it was a little rough (my brush gunked up real fast!), but I think I can do a little better next time.

Thank you sooo much for the Tute!!!  I used it to make a portrait of Trent Reznor for my BFF.  I like yours much better, but now that I've done one, I'm going to go crazy making HUNDREDS!!!  (or at least one more). 



Sorry for the bad photo.  I don't currently own a digital camera that works properly.  Cell camera will have to do for now.
