Ooh, thanks for the tip!  I went to buy masking fluid to play with, and it was $13 (unfortunately out of my budget).  I may even have some rubber cement around here somewhere...

Oooooh !! I have rubber cement too (somewhere ) and a white crayon!
I wanted to try this but didn't feel like buying that masking fluid so I can try this whoooot !!!(not just for now ... stupid school)

If you buy the masking fluid...don't be a dork like me...lol...buy the colored fluid...easier to see!

I had that issue too with my rubber cement. I added a tish of food color paste to mine and stirred it in. Made it a lot easier to see!

great idea!  i've already used almost half the bottle, so I'm thinking I will just go get another bottle and pour some into the other one...lol...

I just did my first ones today...separate post...i think i look like skeletor with those hands  ha ha

Love this tutorial!  I had all the supplies on hand, amazingly, and made some for my mom for mother's day (posted here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=303942.0)

So I used a couple of pictures that were handy, and came up with these:

(I'm going to paint the edges with black acrylic at some point to cover up the tape spots.)

Me being true to my islander roots:



I used watercolors from the tube, pan, and some watercolor pencil on the second one.  I basically just used a huge brush to do different colored washes first.  Thanks for inspiring me to re-take up watercolors!  I forgot how fun they are!
