Wall-e (with pattern link)

I made him using this great pattern from sunshineravioli http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=291351.0

I made some small changes to the pattern but did change his eyes quite a bit.
I tried so many different ways to crochet his eyes and finally I just made a base of polymer clay and covered it in crochet.
I also made his neck with wire (again covered in yarn) so that his eyes could be moved around.
He is just 2 1/2 inches tall.
I made him for my 24 year old son as a surprise..... when I finished him I just popped him on his computer desk.
I was really happy with the reaction I got.

This is super cute! I loved the movie - this would probably make a great toy for some little Wall-e fans.

Aw he is so great! My little one saw him and just smiled and said "Wall-E!!!" I need to make her one! And Eve, and Mo for my husband, and also the crazy massage robot for my husband too! LOL!

THats awesome!  My 4 year old son is having a wall-e themed birthday, and this is a perfect cake topper!!  Good thing I know how to crochet now! thanks for the link to the pattern!

susankg53 , I tried so many different ways to make his eyes but this was the one I ended up using.
I used a grey colour polymer clay and made a flat disc for the front of his eyes and a tube for the back.
I put a  wire into each eye and baked it.
I then used a fine grey yarn and crocheted a rectangle to fit each tube...then I added a piece of felt for the pupil.
