While sorting through my sock drawer one day, I found a pair of socks that's a remnant of my childhood days. It had white ruffles with bright pink edging, and something about it caught my eye and made me not trash it immediately. I took out my needle, pulled the sock apart and used it to sew this cute SOCK ROSE. Finally I added a pale pink button as the center and a brooch pin. Voila! Ready for pinning to a top or summer tote.

what a wonderful idea, how clever you are to recon old socks into something so cute Smiley

I like the recycling edge in this.

BonEsInspired, it's pretty hard to explain because I didn't take any photos of the process. I think I'll be trying it with other socks, though, and if it goes well I'll make a tutorial.

Thanks starrygurlrox Smiley

I was fiddling around with how to do it and I'm trying to work out how to secure it at the base...
Ah well, I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually Wink Yours really looks fantastic though....
Cheers!
