Apparently I never use vinegar because we didn't have any in the house and we had some of those el cheapo dye tablets that require it.  Well we were in a rush and didn't want to go out to the store so we used some lime juice instead (no lemon juice on hand either!).  It recommended 3 Tbsp. of vinegar for each 1/2 C of water, but I probably just used 5 squirts of lime juice.  It worked perfectly and smelled A LOT better.  So remember that for next year.
