So this weekend I decided to try something I'd never done before- bake some bread! I looked around for an easy recipe, since this was my first try, and I didn't have a bread machine, or even a dutch oven at my disposal. I found a delicious looking honey wheat recipe here- http://www.joyfulabode.com/blog/2008/12/30/look-at-me-all-baking-homemade-bread-from-scratch/, and thought- I think I can do that one!
So I went shopping for my ingredients, and got to it! The DH was not very encouraging, but I kneaded, and let my dough rise, kneaded again, let it rise again, and popped it in the oven. Thirty-five minutes later, I pulled these bad boys out!

They're not the prettiest loaves, but they are so tasty! They aren't super-honey tasting, but I don't think I put nearly enough honey in. I was afraid it would be too sweet, and then no one else would eat any. A little lesson for next time.
After they cooled down, we sliced them up, and the DH has been gobbling it right up. I feel like the Little Red Hen, haha.

Thanks for looking!

thanks everybody! I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out so nicely... from previous kitchen excursions I didn't have too high of hopes! I think I'm addicted, I'm already looking for different types of bread to try!
