Plenty of Plastic Canvas Items
«
on:

I mostly work with plastic canvas, and it uses a needle so I would guess it was needlework. Anywho I have a plathora of pictures of things I've done. So on with the pictures
There are 6 coasters all together. I had to hot glue on the roof to the main part as were the instructions in the booklet for it. And since I hot glued it a while ago I have to redo it seeing as i didn't hot glue one side well. It was a relatively easy project to do.
This is a easter bunny basket table decorations. With ribbon inside that i put there festively. They are very tiny for table decorations. Can easily fit in the palm of your hand and if you have hands like me it fills almost all of it, but of course I have tiny hands and you can stuff either candy or ribbon in it like i did. Very cute for the springtime. If you want more of a size description I can tell you that you can put an egg in it and it fills the whole space.
a Barbie Kitchen Corner Cabinet in a light green color. As opposed to the bright yellow color in the pattern. It was supposed to have laminate type plastic in between the open shelves on the top but i didn't have any so it remains an open area.
The mailbox Ornament. The side opposite it can easily be customizable with initials or a small picture. You can stuff 2-3 small tootsie rolls in it for the kiddies. Trust me I checked xD. And if you really want to stuff it about half a handful. which gets it bursting at the seems -ruined her second attempt doing this-
skull pins. A great hit with my friends. I made the pattern for them myself. In 3 different colors for boys and girls. xD. The pin is a silver one kinda tiny. I put it on my purse and it looked good though. Thats when my friends noticed and wanted one. Also, they have felt backings.

The barbie cabinet took about a month only because I had a few spare hours here and there to do it. Same with the pet shop coasters and holders. However the pins, mailboxes, and baskets took only 30 minutes (each) to do. They were very easy. The bigger stuff takes a while for me. It took me 1 year to finish a doll house, with plenty errors in it. I was 15 when I made it. I don't have a picture in my photobucket though, so if you want to see it I'll have to go take pictures.

OMG I ***need*** to see the doll's house
I've not used plastic canvas for years but bought some just this week - I'm planning to make a (working!) cuckoo clock
It would help if I could remember the first thing about sewing on plastic - any hints and tips?

Okay guys be amazed! Note its not a barbie doll house, its a sock doll house, although it i change up the dimensions a bit it could work as a barbie doll house. I made this at age 15, so I was in school and I had homework so I used whatever spare time I had to make it. And you can easily see where the mistakes are but I am still very proud of it. Three different pictures. One where its all folded up and you can take it anywhere, 2 is it all laid out with the tiny yard, and 3 is it opened so you can see it was a big open space. Now there are accessories I could have made with these but I misplaced the pattern for them xD.
As for some tips...
Well, I try to make sure I don't use a very long thread because its easy for it to get tangled and knotted and I have no idea how to ever get out some of the knots.
Make sure you have the right count plastic canvas because some of the more extensive pieces use different counts in different areas.
And don't be afraid to use your hot glue gun xD. Whenever I had loose ends that seem to poke out I use a bit of hot glue to keep them down and it looks great. (apparently its not on the doll house because i didn't know then what I knew now.)
