This Goddess is well pleased...I just got a great deal on embroidery supplies and the Stanley Cup playoffs start next week!!

I took a tip from fellow embroiderist in my area and started scoping out classifieds, EBay and especially Craigslist, and I highly recommend it to this group, 'cuz look what I found not 10 miles from my house...

Another local crafter is clearing out her x-stitch supplies as her eyes are going and she's more into oil painting now.  She had tons of Aida cloth, frames, kits and books but I was all about her floss stash and mounting boards.

This is four boards never opened, a canvas work book and 576 full and partial skeins for $45.  That computes to about 8 cents a skein, and even if half of them are used the cost goes to 15 cents a skein!

Try garage sales, church sales and even thrift stores...if the thread has been kept dry and dust free it lasts for years!

Good hunting to you, and Go Red Wings!
