I am really excited to share my first poppet, Tate, with everybody.

She's not perfect, there are plenty of things that I have learned making her that I can apply to future poppeting, but I adore her!

Faace!

Sitting around in her easy-peasy dress (because every girly poppet needs at least one)

In her red bikini

And in her comfy lamby jimjams.

I love her so much! She is the first doll that I have ever made that was jointed and, though I didn't do it perfectly, I am really proud to have done it at all. If it weren't for ghilie and her wonderful poppet pattern (and craftewoman for her Elenor mod on it) I might never have learned this wonderful skill. So thanks to both of them (and all of the lovely poppeteers) I now have this beautiful doll that I love and a new crafty passtime - making her a huge wardrobe!

In her jeans, peasanty top, and red converse.

In her pretty lacy pink tank top and rolled up jeans and pink sandals.

Another angle on the shirt so you can see the straps and the lace topline

Yaaay! I'm a poppeteer now! (am very excited Smiley )

Thanks everyone. Tate is blushing at all the lovely compliments. Smiley

GREAT JOB !!!!!!!!

I did make up that bikini pattern pretty much on the fly. It's just a couple bits of felt I sewed together because I couldn't make her dress right away and I didn't want her to be all nekkid. As to her nose, well, it may be different because I didn't use the exact pattern. My printer is ded so I had to copy the pattern by hand/sight, so that may account for the difference in her nose. I put a bunch of sculpey in there and baked it up like ghilie suggested in the instructions, so no real difference there.

Anyway, I'm glad you all like her Smiley
