Swap name: Magnet Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: audio-astrophysics
Sign-up date range: 4/11 - 4/18
Date to send item by: May 9

Limited to a certain number of people? 25
Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No
Age requirement? 13 and Older

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:

- Participant lives in the United States: YES
   - If yes, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
   - If no, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of swap:

Does your fridge look plain? Why don’t you spruce it up with some magnets created by your fellow craftsters.
Everyone in this swap will have three partners, so four in a group. They would make one magnet for each partner based on five to ten themes the partner chooses. You will be sending out three magnets by the due date, any magnets late in sending will be noted in feedback.

The magnet will be no bigger than 5in x5 in (12.7cm x 12.7cm) and no smaller than 1in x 2 in (2.54cm x 5.08cm). I think it would be ok to send more than one magnet as long as the dimensions of the magnets together are not bigger than 5in x5 in (12.7cm x 12.7cm).
Since this is suck a cheap swap, you might have to send to someone outside of your country, but I'll do my best to match of people on their sending preferences. You do not need DC since you can send in a regular sized letter envelope.

I think it would be fun to send a set of Inchies as magnets, or a miniature chunky house.
This should be an easy, low stress swap.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:

Wish I had the time to join! I've been making pearler bead magnets lately. They are just so cute!

I think I might join this one too.  You can never have too many refrigerator magnets, and I have several plain circular ones that I could do something with.

Do you have to be careful mailing strong magnets? I can see where one might get stuck to the mail processing machinery.  Would enough padding solve that potential problem?

I'm really not sure, I checked on their website, but I didn't find anything useful. I'll ask the next time that I go to the post office. But I think if you wrap a weak, regular fridge magnet in paper or something it pretty much cuts out the attracting forces, but I think on really really strong magnets you might have to do something special.
