I found this pattern on Etsy and had to have it!
What I like most is the fabric band.
 
But I was thinking of making a "themed" purse.
Like black yarn with silky Asian material or Holiday material or animal print.

For this one, I just used yarn and fabric I already had.
I'm real happy with how it turned out!

I really like how the straps are reinforced with fabric.. I sometimes wonder about some pretty however flimsy straps and how those crocheted purses hold up to actually holding weight.
Wish I could make a fully lined purse myself but.. pff.. can't sew.  Sad

This purse worked up pretty fast.
I worked on it for a few days, but it was probably 5 or 6 hours total.
