i saw this on one of those food network shows... it wasn't "rocher on the road".... but that one where the younger guy would just go out in public and try things and make things for people ('midnight eats' maybe??)...

ETA - after looking it up, it's HAM ON THE STREET... anyway, it's an older show, and for some reason this morning i remembered it an got curious...

so would anyone try with me... grilled cheese and jelly???

here's my muenster and peach preserves sandwich:

it looks good... it smells good.... and everyone on the show suprisingly liked it, i remember. i also heard raspberry and cheddar, swiss and grape are good combinations, but he was just drawing them out of a brain protector!

so.... are you brave enough? adventurous enough? i'd really like to know what people think of this!

I need to get rid of stuff!! i have soap kits, bath salt kits, lip balm kits, plain canvas tote bags, fabric paints, and other stuff i'm trying to clean out. It'd be cool to unicorn zombie apocalypse for yarn, but i'll give it away FREE! PM me if you're interested!!!

I'll do it!
I eat that show and I remember this episode.
I am also interested to see how it tastes because I was a little repulsed at first...then everyone loved it Smiley

Oh man, I'm not the only person in the world who does this?!  Haha!  When I was little, this was the only way I would eat grilled cheese.  Yep, a sandwich of processed orange goodness with apple jelly on top.  Grin

I'm thinking crusty sourdough bread with sharp cheddar, brie and pears would make for a fantastic sandwich. I just need Passover to be over to try it out  Tongue

That sounds strangely yummy.  Apples are good with cheddar, so there must be some tasty fruity jam & cheese sandwich combos.  I'd eat it.
