Oh, yes, DH and I saw that episode and promptly made our own.  We usually do strawberry jam with mozzarella because that's what we have in the house.  It's so good, but it's even better on a good country bread.  Regular sandwich bread just gets too squishy for me.  We also do these in the Foreman grill.

A restaurant near me does grilled cheddar and chutney, and it's fantastic! Cheese and Branson Pickle is also awesome.

Sounds pretty good. I have never tried it but I think I will the next time I begin to make a grill cheese sandwich.

I think cheddar and some sort of apple preserve might work.  I always thought it was odd, but when I was growing up my Nan had a little saying. "Apple pie without the cheese is like a hug without the squeeze" ... Although I never have tried apple pie with cheese!

Cranberry sauce and provalone.
I got this idea from a cold sandwich we make at the shop I work at.
Its like a turkey provalone sandwich but with cranberry sauce, raisins and cashews!
Cheesy and one day during lunch the two came togeather in an odd combination on the grill!
Tasty on white, VERY tasty on wheat (our shop makes veagan friendly [no animal products what soever] bread)

Emmanthaler and green apple on grilled baguette (inspired by a classic fondue combo) is delicious!  Now how can I get some white wine in there.  Also, am I other only one that grew up on peanut butter and mayo sandwiches?
