So, am I understanding this correctly? The jelly goes on the outside of the sandwich after grilling, right? Not inside with the cheese? It sounds absolutely delicious. I will definitely try this.

nope. just jelly on one side, cheese on the other! butter the outsides and brown in a pan!

I need to get rid of stuff!! i have soap kits, bath salt kits, lip balm kits, plain canvas tote bags, fabric paints, and other stuff i'm trying to clean out. It'd be cool to swap for yarn, but i'll give it away FREE! PM me if you're interested!!!

That sounds really good! I'll have to try that! I saw this recipe for grilled cheese with granny smith apples and hummus using cheddar cheese. It was surprisingly very tasty and definitely a combination I would've never considered.

I had an AWESOME grilled sandwich at a place in Cincinatti a few months ago that was Brie, Pancetta, and Green Apple, I just can't remember what kind of bread.  I'm going to be making them myself as soon as I've eaten through my current stock of leftovers :

I just tried it out, and it was sooooo yummy!  Grin
I used wholewheat bread, Appenzeller surchoix (a rather strong cheese), apricot jam and a slice of turkey ham.

Thank you so much for putting this idea in my head!!

I did this today with multi-grain whole wheat bread, marbled cheddar cheese slices and raspberry preserves. I didn't butter the bread like I normally do..I just put some EVOO in the pan before grilling.

A M A Z I N G. I'm out of cheese and jam now. Sad  Must try this again.

mannn! i literally saw this and jumped off my chair to go make it! i did mozz on whole grain with apricot jelly and honestly it was doing nothing for me. i think because it was too sweet and i wanted more of a sweet&salty taste. sooooo i added a lil bit of ketchup and it added just the right mount of tangyness! i want to try other combos!!!!!!!!!!
