- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 13 years old: YES

Details of swap:
Do you sometimes feel like you are stuck in the wrong generation?  Do you imagine yourself swooning to Dean Martin or Elvis Presley?    Or just have a thing for pin ups & T-birds?  It's a 1940s / 1950s swap!

For this swap you should craft or buy 1940s-1950s themed, according to your partner's likes.  If you have a wist, make sure your partner knows about it, so she has an idea of what to send.  You’ll have to send your partner 4 points of items.

Please send something of the quality you would like to receive.

Small Item = 1 point
Med Item = 2 Points
Large Item = 3 Points

For new swappers there might be a bit of a confusion as to what is a large, medium, and small item, so here's a handy guide:

Small = By time, 2 or less hours of crafting. By $$$, $10 or less. By size, Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks…

Medium = By time, 2 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $10-$30. By size, one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf…

Large = By time, 3 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $30 or more. By size, A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse…

This is not totally set in stone, but is a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost.
...

The Rules

All participants must check in at least once a week, by pm or by posting in this thread, and tell their progress.  If you don’t, you will get a comment in your feedback.

If your partner is within the US, you MUST get a DC and pm it to the organizer and your partner.

Be aware of the comments section on wists (if you check them), someone might add something and you go to make it, but didn’t notice in their comments that they would only want that item in a different color.

Important note: Feedback will ONLY be given after you send, receive, and post pictures of what you received. If you do not have a camera, please make arrangements with your partner so they can take pictures before they send.

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND DO NOT REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Ohh this sounds cool. I like a lot of things from the 50s like the greaser style, diners and hot rods. Also the 50s makes me think of awful stuff like segregation...

Are partners going to be paired up by similar likes?

*nervous* Definately can't sign up until after I move, but that will be the 22nd, assuming its not full that would be plenty of time left, ..... Never done a swap before... but it definitely looks fun O.o

Meh to to be or not to be....Do I have the guts, or don't I? thats a BETTER question

Ah! Stop starting good swaps! Wink (I'm mostly kidding. Lol.). But now I will probably have to make a decision between this one and the French one. . . hm . . .(unless I can handle both? Double hm.)  I love the addition of the 40's though! Makes good sense because everyone was talking about it in the thread...

There are so many awesome swaps going on right now!

Good thing the sign up period is till the end of the month. I am hoping one of my other swaps finishes by then.

I have so many great ideas for this one.

I was looking for a swap the other day at work, and when I found this, I squealed out loud.  LOL!  Luckily, I was the only one in the office at the time.  I sent in my signup IMMEDIATELY and am so freakin' excited that my roommate's giving me wierd looks.  LOL!!
