Hi! So I made this squirrel today and thought I'd share him with you. I made him out of a wool sweater that I felted and faux fur for the tail. I think he's pretty darn cute!! And I have a question for any of you who work with faux fur - is there an easy way to turn a faux fur piece?! It took me 30 minutes to turn his tail right side out! Ugh! The fur I used has a fairly stiff backing and is a 1 inch pile. Any suggestions?
Comments are always welcome too!
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!

Thanks again!

this is really, Really, REALLY cool! i absolutely love it! it looks so well put together and like it took you a fair chunk of time (which makes it something i would consider buying even though i could make it myself! Smiley). wonderful job.

as for the tail, it's the kind of fur that would easily hide an external seam. you could do a hidden ladder stitch if you didn't want it to show on close examination, it would only take a few minutes. either that or use a turning tool like the tube and rod used for turning doll fingers.

That's so cute!  It looks like my dog's favorite toy, Squirrely, only cuter.

Aw, I love his little face and his arms. He looks like he's asking for a squirrely hug! What a good use of an old sweater!
