I have been trying to hone my sewing skills and learn to finish the inside of my garments. While at Joann's a few weeks ago I discovered a couple adorable 30"-34" remnants on sale really cheap. Not knowing what I would do with them, I snatched them up anyway because they were adorable.
Luckily, I had enough of each to make skirts. Here is the first:

The waistband is elastic, and the skirt is about knee length.
Sorry about the giant pic. I can't get it any smaller =(

Comments/criticism always appreciated!

Did you use a pattern?  There are lots of great tutorials on this site.  Keep up the great work!

Elastic waistbands are your friends - I've recently discovered the joys of elastic and casings myself. Smiley The print is to die for...and the skirt is mega cute. Smiley -x-

That's all there is and there ain't no more....

Woah. I made a knee-length, elastic-waistband skirt out of that same fabric a couple years ago.

Nice job! I actually make elastic waist skirts for my Halloween costume pretty much every year and people always ask where I bought it. They haven't found out yet how awesomely easy it can be to make your own elastic waist skirts! ^_^
