I always bake goodies for my friends' birthdays, so for my new roommate I handed him my delicious Hershey's cookbook (full of mouthwatering photos) and said "Pick!"

It was my first time making a roll cake and my first time making vegan whipped cream, so I was a little intimidated from the start.  Also, I didn't have a mixer to beat the "egg whites" stiff OR to properly whip the "cream".  The icing was runny, so I dumped about twice as much powdered sugar in to thicken it up a bit.  Since I'm always veganizing recipes, I'm used to improvising and adding my own twists.

So here I present.  The Florida Strawberry Log.  Chocolate sheet cake, filled with strawberry (hunks) and vanilla cream, coated with the same, swimming in more of the same, and then drizzled with melted chocolate.  The result?  A birthday party in his mouth!  Cheesy  And in case you missed it...vegan!

Here's a link to it on Amazon.  Looks like there are some really cheap used copies available.  It's full of amazing recipes...and packed with pictures.
