Details of swap:
Do you love France and/or all things French?  Paris, Provence, the Riviera?  French food, wine, music, whatever bit of culture?  Don't really know anything but want to learn?  Maybe you are French & don't get why the Americans want to be French but want to share your culture?   Cheesy  C’est le swap pour vous!

For this swap you should craft or buy all things French or French themed, according to your partner's likes.  If you have a wist, make sure your partner knows about it, so she has an idea of what to send.  You’ll have to send your partner 4 points of items.

Please send something of the quality you would like to receive.

Small Item = 1 point
Med Item = 2 Points
Large Item = 3 Points

For new swappers there might be a bit of a confusion as to what is a large, medium, and small item, so here's a handy guide:

Small = By time, 2 or less hours of crafting. By $$$, $10 or less. By size, Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks…

Medium = By time, 2 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $10-$30. By size, one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf…

Large = By time, 3 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $30 or more. By size, A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse…

This is not totally set in stone, but is a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost.

The Rules

All participants must check in at least once a week, by pm or by posting in this thread, and tell their progress.  If you don’t, you will get a comment in your feedback.

If your partner is within the US, you MUST get a DC and pm it to the organizer and your partner.

Be aware of the comments section on wists (if you check them), someone might add something and you go to make it, but didn’t notice in their comments that they would only want that item in a different color.

Important note: Feedback will ONLY be given after you send, receive, and post pictures of what you received. If you do not have a camera, please make arrangements with your partner so they can take pictures before they send.

Oh. My. God. I love you. I love you. I love you. I'm so excited that someone took my idea and made a swap. I will obviously be signing up. But not right now cuz I gotta shower and go to work. Thank you so much for coordinating! You rock! Grin

Ooohh, this looks tempting! I need to see how my other swap goes before I commit to this, though.

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!

Awesome! I definitely want to join, although I'm kind of a poser... I don't speak French or anything, just love the culture!

Okay, I think I may be swayed. . . . I figure I have until April 26th to decide officially (though I'll also be watching to make sure it doesn't fill before then!).

BUT... I think I will sign up at some point! I like the detailed questionnaire and the not-too-overwhelming swap size. . . (oh, and France!). Haha.

And puffy: I don't think you're a poser if you just like the culture! That works too Cheesy

hey we could have a "i want to learn some french" (like the "i want to learn ... craft" swaps) element to this!

well, if people want to, that is.

to learn a little of a foreign language is not hard.  to learn a lot (of any language, including one's own) IS hard.  to learn it all, is impossible... but one can have a lifetime of curious fun trying.

Cherie, you're not a poser if you just like the crepes!

ooo! I may sign up, we'll see as it gets closer to the deadline. I do enjoy the smaller-scale point requirement...

Yes I agree - people who don't know much about France or French culture but are interested in learning about it are more than welcome!
