Cela semblerait bien!

hey we could have a "i want to learn some french" (like the "i want to learn ... craft" swaps) element to this!

well, if people want to, that is.

to learn a little of a foreign language is not hard.  to learn a lot (of any language, including one's own) IS hard.  to learn it all, is impossible... but one can have a lifetime of curious fun trying.

That would be neat, and maybe it would keep people posting during crafting time. And seeing as I can't even pronounce French words this would help me.  Tongue

That seems good!
It's pretty funny, it seems like everything French is greatly appreciated by the English-speakers.  Since I have been studying in Ontario, that's really struck me.  My accent is called "cute" although I think it's too strong and do anything to get rid of it, and everyone wants to practice their French (good or bad) with me.  Well, just for a few phrases... kinda like in this forum!

well, lol, I guess I just HAVE to... I think I will sign up!

http://wordreference.com/ a good multi-lingual dictionary - has the IPA pronunciations... also if you can't find the word/phrase you want in the dictionary, it's usually been commented by translators in the forums!

also, it's great that we have some real francophones that we can "practice on" ...

team me up with the other French person, if need be! I'm sure we'd get along. Beside, that'd be hilarious.  Cheesy
