Hi! I made this journal out of an old record. It was pretty easy, but it took a long time to cut the paper to size.

And I made another book out of the record album cover. I love checkerboards, so I was really happy Cheesy

oh man... it's nice, but that musical is SO GOOD!! It was my first love... musical love, and has been a favorite since I was 12, so seeing this is a bit painful to me. I wish these had been sold as memorabilia, though!

Sorry! To be honest, I haven't seen the musical Chess, I just saw the great cover and the one dollar price tag and I felt that I had to get it!

That's awesome! I just them both!!

How did you burn the holes? I usually just use a pin over a flame for my earrings.. but.. you know, I don't have a pin that big.  Grin

I just used a candle and a pen. I put the record over the candle to soften the record, then poked a pen through the record. It took a couple goes to get an actual hole through it (and it stunk my room out lol! I'll do it outside next time Cheesy ), and it took me a few holes before I could get a perfect looking hole without it being an ugleh looking messy circle.

Records would be an interesting medium to work with, eh. They just melt. Gets your mind working. *plans whilst eyeing off her mum's old records* LMAO.

lol My folks were throwing out all these old cassette tapes (the ones you play in the cassette player, not the VCR), and I was thinking of things to do with them lol. Any ideas?
