I made this for my nieces second birthday, she was kind of sick when I gave it to her so she was a little afraid of it.  So her mom(my sister) played with it. Cheesy

I got the pattern from the lion brand website http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80795AD.html?noImages=0
The only thing I did differently is I knitted everything separately.

I used Caron simply soft yarn.

C&C welcome

please disregard the massive amount of cat hair on my arm.

omg.  yours is adorable.  the one on the Lion Brand website is kinda freaky-looking.

hmmm  maybe when I have a spare moment, I should knit up an octopus.

Very cute!

Oh, and I agree, the one on the website is rather creepy, yours I like much better! ^_^

Very cute! I have a question though, and I don't want it to come out the wrong way.  Does it only have six tentacles?  I would say that's an oversight on Lion Brand's part... Or maybe eight is just too many legs to attach to something relatively small... Either way I think your six-legged octopus (hectopus?) is adorable!  Grin

it does have eight tentacles.  they are not spaced out evenly so it only looks like there is 6 in the picture.

Thanks for all of your compliments, it was fun to make.
