From Washington, DC, where the cherry blossoms have just peaked, I can testify that this is PERFECT

Really, really amazing.
The shape is just so right, it looks like a tree.

You did ask for C&C, so just to be super picky, I would reduce the number of flowers to each green bead. Maybe the tree could be a tad more green.
But, that is being super picky, this is just amazing. I hope you win!!

I totally appreciate the critique! Maybe it would've also helped if I'd used a little bit bigger green seed bead. I use size 11 for almost everything I do, so that's what I had and just didn't think about it. I originally did try putting more of these little bitty ones, but the branches looked too crowded and unorganized so I redid it with less. I can definitely see what you're saying though. If I didn't have that green moss, you wouldn't see the green beads at all. Thanks for the comments!

WOW thats gorgeous! The whole tree and scenery is just beautiful.

If you dont mind me prying, how much thought do you put into the shape of your trees? Do you make the branches and then see what looks good, plan the general shape, or plan the whole thing and build it to look exactly like you want?

I don't mind you prying at all! I usually don't think think about a "design" at all. I know what general shape I will create (this is a simple informal upright shape). I randomly create each "twig" and put those together into a branch, put those together into a large branch, and when I have 4 large branches, I twist them together. I don't do any shaping until I have it all assembled, and then I just kinda fiddle with it and stare at it and fiddle with it until I like how it looks. If I over think it and try to make it look the way I want it to, the tree won't have any life to it. I figure nature doesn't have a plan, so neither will I. I'm actually working on a totally different shape right now, and I did (very very rough) sketches of the shape I'm going for, but I'm making each little branch randomly and putting it together as it goes, and it might end up completely different with just the general shape I'm going for.

So to make a long story short, I don't really design my trees. I let them design themselves.
