Hey everyone!
As I was madly sewing away the other day, making a cute new octopus for our little one (still 'in the oven') my hubby started asking lots of questions and actually taking interest in what I was doing......
Yes, he actually took his eyes off the computer to see!  Shocked
So I asked him if he wanted to make anything for her so that she can at least say she has one thing made by daddy (amongst the sea of stuff I have been creating).
I offered to help, told him it'd be easy but he'd be doing it all-not me.
So he picked out an animal, then chose felt colours and here is what resulted:

It was his first sewing since school (hehe a while ago now!) and I think he did a pretty good job!
He seems to be happy with it, and I thought it was just so adorable that he made it I just had to share it with you guys. Cheesy

Thanks for looking Cheesy

Was it difficult to convince him? I'm hoping to convince my bloke into doing a bit of crafting for some future heirlooms I'm making. He did a great job, I'm particularly impressed by the wing detail. Hope the baby appreciates it!

He did a great job. And how sweet of him to want to contribute. I got all teary-eyed. Probably 'cause I've got a bun in the oven too. Wink

Congratulations! Cheesy
I saw a lamb being born on some tv show last night and that set me off! I had to change the channel as it reminded me that I was gonna be a mummy soon and then the waterworks started. Cheesy

It was easier than I thought! Since my old crafting table fell apart I have had to set up my sewing machine right next to the computer so he watched me all the time...I guess I just managed to reel him in with curiosity! He probably also felt a bit bad since I have been doing so much and he wanted something special from him for her. Cheesy

Thanks for all the lovely compliments, I have to show him when he gets home from work-he'll be so excited. Cheesy

Glad to see Dad getting into the spirit. Since this turned out so well, I hope he continues to add to the collection for the new baby.  Good for him- and good for you for having him do it on his own.

I think it's awesome that he wanted to do it all on his own, and it turned out really cute, I love the bright colors Wink
