This is my first project using inchies.  I had to make a present in about an hour, and this is what I came up with.

My father (yes I still at 32 make gifts for my parents) loves sunshines.  So I simply took our fingerprints and made suns out of them.  Simple and I think personal, which is the key.

I really like your sunshines Grin. I have always made animals out of fingerprints and still have the ones my brother and i made when we were little. We did them every year. They were done on round and oval ceramic plaque. what did you stamp yours on? are they Pisces of square paper or tiles? What kind of ink pad and markers did you use? I have never heard of inches. I googled them and saw several rubber stamps though.

Inchies are little pieces of art made of of anything you can imagine and of course are 1 inch square.  I have a feeling they are pretty addictive, as I keep thinking about making more.
I just used a ink pad that has a few different colors on it...stamped them on 15/16 inch square paper and mounted that on a 1 inch square of black.  The black on the sun is done with a gel pen, the yellow sun lines are done with permanent marker and the blue is done with a permanent marker.  Very simple.
The background paper I mounted all of them on was scrapbook paper that I then stamped "Dad" and "Papaw" all over.
Thanks for the nice words!
Here is a good site for inchie information
