This is a set of Hexagon baby sweaters I did for a woman I work with that is having boy/girl twins. The babies are due in June so I figured I'd go a bit big and warm and they would be good early fall sweaters.

All yarn was stash, some red heart soft in guacamole, Vanna's choice in Dusty and Antique rose and some navy that I think was Bernat. The buttons on the boys sweater are little car novelty buttons and the girls sweater were crocheted to match. I have offered to replace the buttons on the boy sweater with similar if the mother feels nervous. As of now she really likes the car buttons.

And this is a blanket I made for My hubbies cousins that are having a baby boy in a few short weeks. Sorry the pic isn't great I had to crop a close up from a shower picture, I forgot to get a photo of the blanket before. There was also a matching hat with it. It was crocheted in soft green Red Heart soft baby steps. it opens up big, about 32 inches square.

Thanks! They were both free patterns.
The sweater is nice cause it works up in two pieces and then you sew them together, add the button holes and the collar. There are a lot of options too.
Here is the basic sweater pattern: http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/hexagon-jacket.html
and here are a variations: http://yarn-tails.blogspot.com/2009/02/hexagon-baby-jacket-ruffles-or-ribs.html, http://needleworkersroom.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

The blanket is also a free pattern: http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/laprobe.html

Hope these help. They were both great, quick and easy projects that get a lot of great reviews.
