ARE the black bits in bananas tarantula's eggs?

This is my first actual post! I hope you guys like it. I made this purse by drilling holes in pennies (and foreign coins for the handle) and threading them together with fishing line and embroidery floss. The pennies aren't attached to the lining; they are just hanging over it. When you have it on your arm it hangs to just above your waist. Sorry about the poor quality pictures!

That is really cool what did you use to drill them with, and how long did it take you?

Glad you like it  Grin. I used a Bosch battery-operated power drill, and it took me about a week (probably about 5 hours of work).

Nope, the drill bit is fine. I did have to use a chisel to get excess metal scraps away from the holes, though, which might wear down the chisel.

Awesome bag, but just be careful where you carry it - I'm pretty sure that defacing money and change is illegal.

i saw some guy on ripley's believe it or not who made his LIFE out of pennies he made clothes and covered his van... etc! so if he can get on tv it can't be illegal

but anyway. that is one sweet bag! i like how you attached the pennies using a "+" instead of attaching them by their sides... like... you used the MIDDLE! and made it a part of the excitement! I MAKE NO SENSE! but what i'm trying to say is that i love the way you made your bag. there.

Very neat!  How much did it "cost" you to make?  Smiley  And about the legality of defacing pennies there are a thousand posts, and in each one it has been determined to not be illegal as long as you don't try to spend it.  However, I did once recieve a quarter with a hole drilled in the top in my change.
