This dress was plain but very cute when my mom purchased it for my daughter.  I saw this challenge and started thinking that I could decorate this little dress with buttons to make it even cuter than it already was.  Originally I had planned to cover the entire bodice with buttons but then thought that it might get too heavy around my daughter's neck.  So this is what I came up with:




And here is the dress before I buttoned it out:


I think it looks rather cute!  What do you think?

I love the buttons around the waistline! Especially how they're not in a super-straight line - it makes them look playful, haha. The buttons definitely multiply the dress's cuteness by 10.
