Hi there,

I made this little coaster for a green-themed giveaway on my blog (along with a few other bits and pieces). The pattern is from a fantastic Japanese crochet book - Lacework Mini-Doily - I so much prefer working from symbol patterns rather than written instructions!

The yarn is Rowan Purelife Organic Cotton 4 ply in Rhubarb. I love it - it's a lovely subtle colour and drapes really nicely too. Might have to get myself some more soon.....

Anyhow, thanks for looking!

Very nice! Cheesy

And I TOTALLY agree with you on the symbol crochet patterns! Why isn't everyone using them? Stupid verbose pattern instructions.. gr.. *kicks*

Anywho.. ya know, this is just the kind of thing I keep wanting to make for myself but dangit.. I always get side tracked. *envy* Oh and I have that bookmark pattern and I love it! I've made a bunch for last Christmas and everyone seemed to like them.  Grin

Thanks lovely people!

Dawn - yes, it's a great pattern - this is the second bookmark I made and I predict I'll be making many many more!
