Last night I got the urge to make somthing, so I whipped up this adorable sundress out of strawberry shortcake fabric.

The pattern is very simple, just get measurements for your bust, your waist and how long you want it to be then take a piece of newspaper and make this shape with your measurments

cut three peices like that, then cut a fourth piece an inch to an inch and a half wider(this is the back), don't forget to add seam allowences(its better that it be too big than too small)  Sew the four panels together, and add a zipper on the back.  Then either get some help or use a dress form to tailor the top so it fits you better. Hem it up, add some straps and voila, pretty sundress! horray!

oh,i LOVE It!!
i just told my mom that i wanted to make a sundress.  apparently she's anti-joanna+sundresses.  she told me that my arms are too big and i have no boobs.  that's depressing.  at least you can wear them though!! i really do love it.  (i'm just jealous! lol)

Thank you times a million! I've wanted to make a sundress for like ever! You make it sound so simple that even I can understand and feel confident it might come out okay! I love it sooo much and I've been trying to crack the sundress code for so long! Thank you!
