So my boy and I ADORE Nag Champa soap. And when our local hippie shop stopped carrying it, I decided I absolutely needed to make some. I guess that was my initial "push" and then a great tutorial from OhHappyDay was the kicker. I'm addicted.

CP Nag Champa soap

Is the weird cracklyness normal for CP soap? I used a plastic mold...

Then I tried CPHP. (when I first saw that abbreviation I was like "what? cold process, hot process? how does that work..." haha) I really like the crockpot method, I just wish my crockpot were bigger!

I used Energy FO and wiltons food color paste. I don't know if I used enough to color skin... but if I did, I can always give the soaps to people I'm not too fond of! Grin

(icky bottom!) I tried to make a marbled effect with the orange/white, and I must say I do approve!

Well what do you guys think of my newbeeee status? Grin

hehe you should be skin safe. Worst case you look like you kissed George Hamilton, right? Wink They look beautiful and I'll bet they smell divine! Welcome to the club. Smiley

As far as the texture I cannot offer any insight because I'm not a big CPHP person, so I honestly don't know! I just wanted to say how nice I thought they looked! Smiley

(I have that mold for your nag champa soap and it's an awesome mold!)

LOL @ George Hamilton. (I actually had to look him up, I don't know my actors Tongue )

haha the mold was a BB impulse buy! But I do really enjoy it. Actually, I used it for both soaps. The CPHP soap I filled all the way to the top of the mold and then just cut of the "lip" around the edges. Made them 5oz as apposed to 4oz!

The best way I can describe it is... think of really good sex intimate pleasures lol. Am I allowed to say that? I feel like I'm gonna get my hands slapped with a ruler or something.

She is right, I feel that way about a good sandalwood or vanilla or patchouli...Ok I admit it I am a scentohoe.....haha nice job. I am a CPHP person haha.....Kinda hybrid actually, cooked in CP but less time so it cures in about the same time as CP....WHy? I broke all my thermometers and am too cheap to get new ones, cooking means the temps can vary.

It's addictive though, this new habit of yours.  hehe.

Yup, it's mostly sandalwood, and the juices from a champa plant. (thanks wiki haha)

mmm if only patchouli weren't so darn expensive!
