How did you do this?? I absolutely love it!

I'm trying to make a classy metal tree of some kind to hang my jewelry (mainly necklaces) on, and would love to learn how, is there an online tutorial somewhere to help a first timer?

I found a nice sturdy looking wire tree at: http://ftourini.deviantart.com/art/Tree-of-life-47434121, if you're still looking for a tree to put your jewellery on?

Thank you so much! This is a great looking tutorial!

The beads for both trees are just glass beads that I've bought. There are 3 different types of beads on the first tree, and I just created my own mix with them. For the second tree, I bought a mix of beads that were already put together and in the same color family and then just selected from that mix randomly.

I've tried making a tutorial, but I don't think I'm very good at explaining things online, so I haven't published one yet. Maybe one day it'll happen...

Simply amazing, the mirror makes it look futuristic, but also retro, and so pretty!

WOW! I love the green reminds me of summer. I love how the trees can look simple or they can look very very ornate. Like the bonsai one you would be afraid to touch because it is so fancy while.... others you just want to play with and move around.

I took your class at One stop bead shop! These trees are awesome. I made a bunch for a bridal shower and keep getting people asking for more!

Did your pink fancy one make it to fire mountain in one peice. I remember you were worried about that!

AND how did it do?

I'm so glad you enjoyed my class! I don't know which student you were, but I hope I wasn't too hard on you! Also, I'm glad your trees were a success! Yay!

After my cherry blossom tree was received at Fire Mountain, I sent an inquiry to their help desk asking them to just confirm that it arrived safely. They said that it arrived in perfect condition. I still don't know the results of the contest, but I should know really soon. According to the website, they mailed all the entries back to their creators this week and the results of the judging will come when our entry is delivered back to us... which means that hopefully I'll know next week sometime!

Gorgeous!!! I'm curious, how big is the tree (and mirror) you used?? It looks big in the picture...but now that you say you used 30g wire I'm thinking it's a lot smaller than it looks in the pics!!

KerrieRou, I think the trees here are in the 8-10 inch ballpark.  I'm thinking the mirrors must be 7-8 inches across?
