I work a fair amount in my job at the university with ESL students, and communicating with them...... I suspect its a difficult but rewarding job!

very true!
And in general, both the students and their parents
are so appreciative of their teachers!

I'm waiting for a little something to come in the mail for IllusionsOfNormal's gift, other then that I'm set to ship it out!
YEAH!  I am so excited I can hardly wait!

I've finally gotten a chance to really work on my gift for SprigofIvy - it's almost done & I LOVE IT!  I hope to have it ready to mail by Friday, but my daughter is having her tonsils out tomorrow so her recovery will dictate my crafting time.

Its official.  I sent out Puffy's gift!  Woooo!  I'll apologize in advance for not wrapping it up in pretty paper,  It would have gotten all squished anyway.  But I'm sure you will love your package!

also, hello Ellen!  It is hard coming up with a list of things you want, isn't it.  Good thing I planned this out for over a month LOL  I had a list in word processor waiting to be cut and pasted LOL

Good afternoon, swappers!
Maremare & I have been alternating organizing the bday swap
each month, and she has decided to take a break for awhile,
so.....
would anyone here be willing to organize the May swap, and depending
on how it goes, alternate with me for the rest of the year?
PM me if you'd like more info!

Hello April babies!  Thought I'd say Hi - I'm a January girl myself but I thought I'd use up a little of my ever growing stash and send some presents out.  Also, my other swaps are mostly complete and I have a fear of not having something to do at all times!

So ... I'm making a beret for puffy.  I made one and it is probably the most hilarious thing I have ever seen!  So - I will be starting over!  Craft and learn, craft and learn ...   Wink  When all is said and done and I have produced one that is actually wearable I might humor you all with my first results - I have the whole family cracking up over it!

Rest assured, puffy, you will receive one that will not embarrass you (even if I have to make a few more to get it right -  Grin )

Happy Birthday, Ladies!

I got some beautiful dog collars for my boys today from zombiekilla!!  So far they have only worn them for the photoshoot, because they are both dirtbag filthy from playing in the lake today.

Here is Cash in his.  He was misbehaving today on our outing, which is why I think he looks so sad.  Looking pretty in his collar cheered him up though Cheesy

Icky took about 20 minutes to get a good pic of.  He gets a haircut in a couple weeks, then you'll actually be able to see his pretty collar.  He kept strutting around the house in his new collar.  He's a little showoff, but he was a blur in most pics I tried taking.  He's finally keeping still here watching Dad make dinner.

(ETA: This pic also explains why we are  in constant need of swiffer cloths.  Our yard is pure mud, and our kitchen floor is littered with dog prints, no matter how often we clean)  Undecided

Here is the good picture of the patterns on the collars.  I loooove orange (the boys look so handsome in orange) and the ribbon is adorable!

Thank you so much zombiekilla!! You did a wonderful job and I love the collars!
