Hi everybody,

Here's my first attempt at embroidery! My stitches are a bit wonky but this was so much FUN! I think she is quite cute.

I have the pattern available on my blog if you'd like to give it a try -- it's from a 1932 little girl's magazine.
Do any of you know where to I could find similar vintage-looking patterns?

Oh frogginette, that's a wonderful piece!  I never would have known it was your first attempt.

Try Needlecrafter, Pattern Bee and Antique Pattern Library on the web (google them all for links) and if you're into Flickr, there are several antique embroidery pattern groups out there with free stuff to use (just do a search on the word, embroidery).
