Since my girls actually nap (knock on wood), I am going to start trying to work off my negative feedback.  Life got hectic with their early arrival.  I apologize for the inconveniences my flaking caused.

I've got a hook and I'm not afraid to use it.

I'm going to be watching this round for the purty squares, but I'm not allowed any more swaps until we close on the new place and move in Wink

(Otherwise there's no telling how often I'd be crocheting instead of packing.)

Have fun!

I'm very excited to get yarn this weekend, so I can crochet like mad during my flight to California for vacation next week!

(They'll let crochet hooks on US airplanes these days . . . right?  I mean, it's not like they're pointed, like needles, or anything!)

I heard that even crochet hooks are a little iffy. But to be on the safe side, I would buy some plastic ones to take, that way 1. its not metal so it wont make any alarms go off 2. if they do throw them out, well at least they were cheap plastic ones lol

I flew to Italy and back with several connections in October. There was no way I was spending that much time on the plane without a project! My bag of crochet stuff and I got to go through many, many security checkpoints. I brought along two of those ergonomic hooks (Clover soft touch) and a work in progress. At some point during the trip, I did have a guy open the little bag in my carry-on with the crochet hooks, but he just took them out and looked at them and put them back. (Don't ask me what country we were in at the time - I couldn't tell you. Possibly France.) So my luck with them has been good. But like DV said, you could always use plastic or wood if you were worried.
