they were all really difficult to photograph - you did better than me!
The beads are for the eyes - you need to thread through the brown bead and then the green one and back through the brown bead - so it is like an eye with a pupil..sorry they dropped off!!

everyone has made such amazing ATCs for this swap, i'm totally blown away!

mixtapes were SO a major thing in my teenage years! and it is totally funny, kids won't have an idea! i made a bib with a mixtape on it in december and then realized that the 1yr old is never going to experience them! Grin

i got an awesome felt embroidered ATC from sheepblue too!

isn't it gorgeous? i love all details, it must have been so much work! the butterfly wings are amazing. those are french knots around the outer wings!

and i received a gorgeous ATC from sajona called the strange sea creature series "Spikefoot"!

i too had problems photographing it, i tried scanning it too, but it washed out really badly. the background fabric is so beautiful, did you dye it yourself sajona? your free hand machine embroidery is amazing!

thanks so much both of you, as well as everyone else who's been sending such amazing cards. i need to step up my game, my partners were all incredible!

I received this little beauty from Krafty_karasu,
It's titled "a few of my favorite things" and it does indeed represent just that. Hands, birds, planets, stars, spirals, love it.
my 2 year old son is sat on my lap right now singing "Twinkle Twinkle" to it...

What did you use for the image transfer? I've never tried it myself but I'd like to give it a go.

I just used iron-on transfer paper for shirts and such.  and I only had Windows paint to work with to make these cards.   Sad  I used to have a really cool paint program (it wasn't paintshop/photoshop.  I can't afford it Sad), but it won't work with Windows XP or Vista.  but that's ok because when you print these out, you can't see the "imperfections".  like the fact that the hand holding the moon doesn't really fit perfectly against the picture of the hand holding the bird.  I mean, in the picture I made it kinda does, but the printout smooths those hard edges.   Grin

I am so glad you like it and that it arrived in one piece.  Tongue

I'm not sure why they came out so impossible to photograph - I tried everything, but the light was awful here last week (very cloudy) so even my usual trick f putting them on the kitchen windowsill didn't work! I have some good 'work in progress' shots but I can't post those till the third one is received as that is the main one shown.
I used a piece of leftover batik fabric that my local quilt shop sells - it was used as a backing for a special quilt made for Rowena (the person who posted the instructions for the infinity dress on the sewing board) and it is very useful as a background - it has been used as 'seaweed' on 2 swap items so far and I just let it talk to me! I hooped a random section and threaded up the variegated thread and just winged it, letting the needle draw a shape!

You should look into trying out GIMP. It's a free photoshop alternative, and has almost all of the same features as photoshop.

Hi everyone!  Corduroy Cat asked me to post a picture of the ATC I sent her.  I know her and Twiztidblood have received so I'm going to post both just because I already have them here.

First, an Octopus for Corduroy Cat.  I made the suckers from french knots.

Next is a cat watching a sunset for Twiztidblood.

The colors are a tad washed out.  I used some sparkly thread on the cat one around the sun that you can't see.  For my first ATC ever, these were so much fun.
