This is fabulous!  It made me laugh out loud (literally....scaring my own cat who wanted to see what all the commotion was about.  I love your idea, and just may try something like that here at my house.  I especially loved the last picture of Oreo...you can tell that he is trying to figure out what his next move shall be.  I gave you a "This Rocks" nomination.    Grin

Grin This is quite the masterpiece! What patience you must have. I love the dirty look Oreo is giving those buttons, lol! This couch is now a nice piece of eye candy! ACE!

Ooh man, this is ah-mezzin! If only my silly leather couches would take a needle without killing my fingers Sad
Ooh well, I suppose that's what glueguns are for Cheesy

Sorry to hijack you post with a pic here, but this is my kitty Ollie, he's not here any more, but I saw Oreo and immediately was like OMG, OLLIE!

He had so many bells on his collar to scare the mice away, he was a good hunter but there was only so many times we could accept such lovely.. soggy presents from him Cheesy

Your sofa has inspired me, I have a tin FULL of vintage buttons that are just screaming for a project like this! Smiley

You totally rock, it looks beautiful.  I'm reupholstering a pair of chairs and my cat finds them irresistable, I may just add some button detailing to them.  Thanks for the inspiration.  Kitty love to Oreo.

that's amazing! My mother in law once threw out a couch because of the same problem. I am glad I have this idea now for her next couch ruined by her precious "Pretty Girl".

Haha, your story was hilarious, Oreo is adorable, and the couch is utterly stunning!
