well, considering I've got an excessive amount of alpaca that I'm allergic to, I'm up for a fiber swap and a yarn/fiber swap.  I'd even do yarn in exchange for fiber....  Really, I'm up for it all.   Grin

We'll have to figure out some sort of all encompassing questionnaire. Smiley

LOL  Its all raw alpaca, since I'm not able to prepare it... :*(  I guess I have to stick to wool, cotton silk... lol  not so bad, just one fiber less...

I'm going to clean the raw alpaca I got on Saturday today. I'm very excited. I have a bunch of reading to do. I'd be pretty interested in what you've got Belladune, if it goes well.

Here's what I'm doing right now.

I got an email back from Christine from Spinning Straw into Gold. She says that right now she's figuring out a way to put her fiber online. She also said that she got wiped out this weekend. When I left at 2 on Saturday she had a fair amount left. So how awesome for her!

I also stopped by Butterfly Girl's booth. Her spindles are even more fabulous close up. I wish I could have afforded to get a spindle, but it was strictly fiber for me. Plus, I'm in love with my CD spindles for now.

I have to say, the alpaca isn't bothering me but the bamboo is making me a little sneezy. Do any of you have problems with bamboo and allergies?

that alpaca looks in much better condition then mine...  Did you wash and pick your already?  Also mine wasn't vacuumed  before shearing, so its really dusty.  It'll be a bit of work to get it looking nice.   I just wish I could touch it!

Belladune - They were really, really proud of these fleeces. They were talking about how a couple of them had one first place at the Fort Worth Stock Show. These were really nice people. Their names are Troy & Mary Ogilvie. He took a lot of his time to answer my questions. I definitely plan on visiting their ranch. It's not too far from here.

This one is a baby fleece. I WISH I had bought more. In fact, I need to email them and ask if they sold it all. I'm so sure they did. You can't see, but there's small amount of VM in there. I've got the bigger pieces out but it really is pretty clean. It's been really cloudy here, so pictures have been bad for the last week. I would say in person, it's slightly grayer just because of the dirt so far. I have a feeling it's going to get really white when clean because in the pictures I've found of her, she's a very pretty white little thing. So cute. I was really surprised because there was A LOT of alpaca and way less wool at the fest. But I'll be going to the Kid 'N' Ewe and Llamas Too fiber festival in November down by San Antonio. I'm really excited about that. It's supposed to be much bigger and everyone at the fest this weekend said they'd have larger booths there.
