I've been hand carding the pound of Shetland I got from lapoli in STS.  almost done!

It will go perfectly with the oatmeal colored shetland roving I have to spin up for knitting my sweater

I had about 8 oz white roving hanging around doing nothing, so after I finished my hair Saturday night, I took the remaining hair dye and spot dyed the roving ....  Can't wait to see how it spins up!

HEEE that is such a cool idea. I used to dye my hair red (woe that my aunt and uncle got the genes but they missed my mom!), but quit because it is SO much work to maintain. It'd be fun to use the color I had on some roving and make felt dreads so I can feel like I'm a redhead again. Hahaha.

I love all things shiny, glittery, and colorful.

I say yes to ATC trades!

I hang out in: Knitting, Crochet, Fiber Arts, and the Swap Board!

I only wished I would have thought of it Friday when I had so much medium red brown dye left.  (my topside is red, bottom side is black)

Part of me is going OH WOW WHAT A COOL SWAP, I WANT IN and part of me is going 'yeah, but I'm such a newbie spinner and what if I get someone like, I don't know, jazzturtle (who I have a serious spinner's crush on) and make an arse of myself with my rubbishy n00by yarn'.

Hmm, we'll see [grin]
