I'm an ABD grad student in art history, 32, living in North Carolina.  I knit, sew, and am new to embroidery.  My aesthetic is very minimal--I try to surround myself with simple, beautiful, natural things.  William Morris said it best:  “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”  I love natural colors and materials, especially organic and sustainable, and various shades of grey, blue, green, and brown (and lovely clear red).

Hi there..My name is Amber, I live in Las Vegas, NV with my husband, best friend and dad (along with our mini pack of pups and other animals). I am an extremely open minded person. My hobbies are many and varied. My top 5 addictions are:

ALLERGIES AND PREFERENCES
I am allergic to wool and have a very sensitive nose (smoke and musk make my head hurt and I tend to sneeze). I love floral scents, fruity scents and baked good aromas. I am a staunch atheist, so I prefer not to receive anything from a religious text or image of a god (with the exception of Buddha, because though I don’t follow the faith, I am Asian, and nothing screams Asian to me like Buddha). I also don’t like leather or fur (faux is great though). Sexualized Disney things are a no-no but sexual things are awesome! Basically any adult themed item will make me a very happy me. I am not picky about colors, as long as they are theme accurate (like mickey mouse should never be neon, and things like that). I don’t like anime at all, but I love Kawaii foods and inanimate objects, not Sanrio.

          Stairwell - Main St USA basically a vintage Americana theme, with a firm grasp on the Victorian styles from early american colonial builing. Curtains (I have 6 tall thin windows), wall art depicting Disney classic films, and decorative frames to add pictures of our family.
          Master Bedroom - Fantasyland -light pink, powder blue and cream with sparkles (that DO NOT flake, my husband has a glitter phobia, and he cant deal with any glitter that flakes, but anything that is naturally sparkly like chiffon and things like that are awesome). We have a King bed, and that’s pretty much it. Wall art from any of the Princess films (Mulan, Pocahontas, Alice, etc are not princesses), decorative pillows and bed shams would be so welcomed.
          Master Bathroom  - Donald Duck - My husband’s favorite character ever, and so I gave him the Master bath to show his love. The colors are Blue, White, Yellow and Orange and we need ANYTHING for that room (I havent started at all yet lol). Our master bath doesn’t have a place for a shower curtain though.
          Foyer/Loft area - World Showcase - There are 11 countries in the World showcase, all vastly different. The main color scheme is Morroccan based, but for the walls, we want art and decorations for ALL the countries.
          Office/Studio - Mickey Mouse - Red, Black and White with a hint of yellow. Mostly decorative things, but anything that can STORE other things would be awesome. I never have enough storage J

Allergies - no patchouli, sandal wood, nag champa (not actually allergic to these, but they make my nose run horribly), If you send me food stuff, I don't eat mammals but I'm not a vegetarian. About me:

I'm a 23yr old single mommy, with a 21month old boy named Levi.  I live in Florida with my parents, and dog.  I'm a ‘crunchy’ mommy, so into natural parenting type stuff and anything environmentally friendly.   I like anything related to the beach/ocean, anything kid friendly (my son is gifted, so it’s a challenge to keep him entertained and learning all the time!). .  I have a very bad smoke allergy, and I’m also a vegetarian, so no leather stuff please.

OK *deep breath* I claim musiclady for handspun yarn, some extras and possibly a few other bits.

This is my first claim. Zero sent, zero received. Just to confuse you all, this list is now ever so subtly different.

Hi! I'm Seph, and I live in London. Steampunky/antiquey jewellery in copper and brass can tempt me, but I mostly wear silver - and never, ever gold. My favourite colour is really offensively hot pink. I like swirly, flock, damask, fleur de lys, filligree-type patterns, especially if they're glamorously boudoir-looking and in black/pink/white. Think Victorian elegance and gothic glamour :-) I am however by no means immune to the cute and kitsch, especially quirky 50s-esque styles! I have a Thing for ampersands (the '&' symbol) and other particuarly loved motifs include theatrical tragi/comi masks and padlock/key things. Especially the locks! I love anything with the words 'slut' or 'whore' on it, especially if it seems out-of-place (see the teaset on my wists). I am a vegetarian, so please nothing that isn't veggie. My proportions are 47-44-54 and I'm 5'2".

You can of course find all sorts of amazingly awesome stuff that I love very much on my wists, and a wisty surprise is always more than welcome! Super duper massive wishes are in bold.

Crafted things:

• A set of four (two larger and two smaller) decorated/handmade/altered food and water bowls for my cats
• Any sort of black skirt, preferably either very long or very short but other lengths good too :-) Non-black skirts also welcomed if you think they're 'me'.
• A full-length apron, possibly with a pocket, in a gorgeous fabric. Something stylish and retro housewifeish and kitsch. The kitchen is going to be aqua and black with accents of zebraprint, so if it could co-ordinate with that I'd be very happy :-)
• Handspun yarn, the art-yarnier the better!
• Soaps, bath bombs, bath salts, etc. If you make me something that turns my bathwater pink I will love you forever. I am especially wanting some felted soap.
• A netbook case for an Acer Aspire One (google should give you measurements), ideally with a space/pocket for the power lead.
• I'm gearing up for uni and after loads of awesomely beautiful things that might help. Lavishly overdecorated ringbinders, pens, notebooks, pencil cases and the like SO MUCH appreciated!
• Decorated/handmade/altered/awesome crochet hooks. I mostly use between 4.5mm and 7mm.
• A smallish, compact project bag for my crochet.
• I would totally adore a tree of life pendant like the ones pheonixfiredesigns makes, with rich green stones.
• A largeish tote bag, with handles long enough for me to carry over my shoulder. This would need to be really quite durable, please - it's going to get used a lot, and sometimes have quite heavy things in it!
• Bookmarks :-D
• Safe, sturdy toys for my cats. Eric likes balls and things that roll around for him to chase, Gwendolen (whose name almost nobody can spell right, for some reason) likes dangles and things for me to wiggle for her to attack.
• Jewelery! Though I do wear studs if they're cool enough I prefer big, dangly earrings and don't mind if they're a bit heavy. I have largeish wrists (7.5-8in) and I look really rubbish in chokers, preferring necklaces that hang to the decolletage [grin] I'm also allergic to nickel.
• Stitch markers. I seriously don't have any. Yeah, I realise how random that is.
• Polymer clay chocolate charms, the ones that look like the chocs/truffles you get in posh chocolate boxes.

Supplies and extras:

• Basically any beading/jewellerymaking supplies you can think of. Believe me, I'll find a use for them! Particular loves, in case you need help, are cameos, unusual and ornate clasps/finishings/findings and spectacular focal beads.
• Ditto for papercraft/scrapbooking. Again, particular favorites are gorgeous 12x12 papers, unusual alphabet stickers, those sticky 3d embellishments and brads. My favourite papercraft company, for inspiration, is probably 7Gypsies :-)
• Wool roving/tops/batts, of the spinnable sort rather than the felting sort.
• Yarn. Basically any yarn. I want a stash [grin]
• Just lately I've been feeling an urge to start collecting buttons. I have no idea why this is. But they're awesome, and I want to be able to decorate things with them and use them in jewellery and stitch them onto stuff, and I just suddenly want to have loads of buttons. So yeah, buttons would be great!
• FOs, EOs, glitter, pigments, dried petals...anything for soap/bath bombs, basically. Also the more basic supplies are always appreciated - citric acid and m&p base especially.
• Fat quarters of fabulous fabrics
• Kool-aid or similar in any flavour - it doesn't exist this side of the pond, and I want to experiment with using it to dye fiber/yarn. Also I kind of want to try it, having heard so much about it [grin]
• A resin starter kit. I've been wanting to try resin for ages but getting all the supplies together seems so complicated, and I'm convinced I'll buy *slightly* the wrong thing and it will all go horribly bad.
• If you're sending from the US, I'd really appreciate some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - I LOVE them, and we don't get them over here.
• And for that matter, all chocolate! Mmmmm, chocolate...milk chocolate is my favourite and I love anything with peanut butter (though am not so crazy about actual peanuts). I don't much like Hershey's, either.
