Hey there!

Loooong time no post. Sorry, I wish I could post more often   Embarrassed
Anyway I've finished a new sort of collection, freely inspired by the 40s/50s fashion. I planned on taking pictures in the garden of my parents-in-law, near a gorgeous lake, but the weather was awful... so we had to take pictures in my kitchen haha.

Here are some of my favorite pieces :

I made this pencil dress from scratch, using black cotton with cupcakes all over and black jersey (for the sides panels, it makes the dress way much comfier!)
I thought this kind of dress would look awful on me, because of my saddlebags, but it's actually very flattering.
I will definitely use this pattern again, and maybe try to make a top + a skirt instead of a dress. We'll see!   Cheesy

I made this one out of grey knit fabric with black skulls and hearts, black fabric and black satin ribbon. It has leg of mutton sleeves (with a full top that is gathered into the armhole), a front pocket, a sort of shawl collar and a removable bow.

I love how this top turned out! I used teal knit fabric and grey/blue leopard jersey. It features a sewn in shrug with a big removable bow, cute puff cap sleeves and a beautiful black lace applique.

I hope you like them   Smiley

Oh wow, these are adorable! Loving the cupcake dress, you're right, the shape is very flattering Smiley

Inspired by other members of the sewing blogosphere, Ive dived straight in the deep end and abstained from buying any ready-made clothing until July 2012. It looks like Ill be window shopping for quite some time Check out my progress here: http://seamlessblog.wordpress.com

Reow! This is one sexy post. You say there are jersey side panels in the pencil dress... on the inside? or can you just not see in the pictures. Just wondering.

Love your style.

I am in love with the cupcake dress!  Oh, and I really like the neckline on the gray top.  It sort of reminds me of sailor moon with its big bow in the front.  Very adorable! As is everything you make.  I wish I would come across leopard print jersey, I can never find the GOOD fabrics!

Wow - I love all 3 pieces! The cupcake fabric is so cute!
