Hey Cheesy

Yesterday I had the sudden urge to crochet some cute footwear for the bub to be. I wanted something cute-not the traditional sock things.
So I found this pattern here:

I have to say it was one of the best tutorials, so clear with lots of pictures.

But my little mary janes came out really small.
Is it because I have never spent much time looking at newborn feet??
Or are they really too small??
I guess I'll find out soon enough!

Anyway, here they are modeled by the  stuffed octopus I made the other day (he has a thing for shoes):

I would have just upped the hook size but silly me can only find my 3.5mm hook. The rest are in my special crochet hook case with all my patterns SOMEWHERE in the house. Sad
I have no idea where.
And it bugs me cause I swear I saw them a few days ago.....

Those are adorable! As for the size, well, my chunky kids didn't have the tiny newborn feet, but my niece did. Depends on the baby. So you'll find out after your baby is born, I suppose! (Congratulations.)

Good luck finding your hooks!

I managed to find one lone hook tangled in a blanket which I had totally forgotten about! It's a 5.5mm one so I'm trying these again-but I changed the pattern a bit to add a strap at the ankle to keep the little things on. Cheesy

I bought this wool so long ago because I loved the colour but had no idea what I was going to make with it! Can you tell I am an impulse buyer?
