Thank you, everyone!

My niece is a joy to do things like that for because she totally adores clothing and knows when something is special. 

The Clover yo-yo maker makes making the yo-yos (say that three times fast!) entirely foolproof and relaxing.  If you have any interest in yo-yos, I can't recommend it highly enough.  The sewing everything together was what drove me crazy.

And yes, I've promised her that in 3 years when the dress is too small for her to even wear as a top, I'll take the dress back and make something else out of it for her. 

I appreciate all of the kind words.  I really do value Craftster criticism more than anyone else's.

wow! there's no way in heck I'd be making it but it only makes me appreciate it all the more! you must have spent forever putting together all those yoyos then stitching them (by hand I imagine) all together into your "fabric". it looks awesome!! you're very clever and creative

Beautiful dress and beautiful model! Where can I find a yo-yo maker? I didn't know such a thing exist.. and what a great job you did on this dress. I've never seen this before,truly one of a kind! Now you've put ideas in my head girl.....lol Grin
