I went to a stitching show the other week and bought a grab bag of aida - you know, all bits and bobs - there was some nice black stuff and some groovy brown 24ct evenweave. And then there was this piece of band that had silver edging.
And I looked at it and decided to do something with it.

Coincidentally I've been a lot more public with my stitching, doing it on trains and in public places, and it's been an interesting experience for me and surprisingly emotional. So with all that in mind...

Because I am.  Cool

This is very cool. It says "Hey, Jack, don't mess with me." It says "I'm in charge around here." It says "Yeah, I'm a man, I cross stitch, and I'm proud." It says "Where did my floss pouch get to?" But most of all, it says "Alpha Male" - if you want to get literal about it, I suppose. Smiley

I really like this. Nice one.  Cheesy

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Brilliant use of awkward scrap!  How big is it and how're you going to use it, sir?  Is there any likelihood that in the future there will be stitched a yellow-ish "stain" on the corner thus marking it in the traditional way of the alpha male?

I am in love with this. I think I'm going to have to learn how to stitch just so I can make this for my husband, who fancies himself the Alpha Male too  Wink  completely awesome

Nice!  I'm not sure how long this piece is, but it would look really cool stitched onto a bag, sorta like a patch.

I wanna hear some stories about reactions people have had to you stitching in public.
