I was trying to think of something I could make to go with my Harry Potter themed living room and I came across a red-orange lamp that I had bought about 7 years ago and never used. I made a felt sorting hat, painted the base black and then printed out the house crests and the sorting hat sayings from the book, cut them out and modge-podged them on. Please let me know what you think. Smiley

Merlin's Beard!! That lamp is just fantastic and I love the way you made the face of the sorting hat!! I want this lamp so badly, that I can taste it! BTW  felt doesn't taste good  Grin

Wow, thanks everyone!  Grin The comments have really made my day!  Grin

I haven't found a lightbulb small enough for it yet but I put a regular bulb in and took a picture of it and I think it looks pretty wicked. I added the pic to the original post. I am going to see if I can find something non-flammable to put in the inside so it can be left on without catching anything on fire, it got pretty warm just from taking pictures. LOL I've also added the printout I made and used for it in case anyone would like it.
